Green clothbound boards (a little bumped), gilt spine titling clear; text block generally firm, untrimmed pages unmarked but endpapers tanned. Very slight forward lean. Provenance: Sir Henry Lancelot Aubrey-Fletcher, 6th Bt. (1887-1969) - soldier, detective novelist and Lord Lieut. of Buckinghamshire (pencil signature on ffep). 12mo (190 x 130 / 7_"" x 5""). Standard Edition of Complete Works: 1st edition (1930) of perhaps the most pointed critique of parliamentary democracy in the entire Shavian canon.
