London: Eddie S Linden, 1998. pp 112 Paperback in glossy covers illustrated with a drawing by Hammond Journeaux of the poet John Heath-Stubbs to whom this issue of Aquarius is dedicated. It contains 24 contributions from well-known writers and poets and is guest edited and introduced by Professor Trevor Tolley. Inscribed "To Alasdair, Best wishes in the New Year Eddie S Linden 9/1/2004". Very good, a few spots to the upper cover, pages 41-49 have been damp and the paper is wrinkled but clean. Provenance: from the recent Glasgow dispersal sale of Alasdair Gray's library. Gray (1934-2019) is acknowledged as one of the most innovative figures in Scottish literature and culture. Painter, novelist, playwright, poet and editor, Gray frequently combined his diverse artistic talents within single works to challenge existing forms. He has been described as 'Blending satire and tragedy, realism and fantasy, his work has been credited with spurring a renaissance in Scottish literature.' Please contact Christian White at Modernfirsteditions if you would like more information about this item. Very good 1998
