Sobre este artículo

Baltimore, MD: Aquatic Life and Aquatic World, 1951-1964. First edition.. Light wear and a few old mars and chips to the vinyl jacket protectors, some endpaper show mild foxing, the original brown cloth binding and the text, printed on clay-coated white paper, are very bright and clean; a tight and clean copy in near fine condition.. Pp. (vol. 1): 1-204; (vol. 2): pp. 1-200, (4, index); (vol. 3): pp. 1-192; (vol. 4): pp. 1-196, (4, index); (vol. 5): pp. 1-234; (vol. 6): pp. 235-500; (vol. 7): pp. 1-272; (vol. 8): pp. 1-272; (vol. 9): pp. 1-144; (vol. 10): 1-144; (vol. 11): pp. 1-144; (vol. 12): 1-112; (vol. 13): pp. 1-108; (vol. 14): pp. 1-72, numerous illustrations. This set is uniformly bound in contemporary brown pebble cloth, lettered in gilt on the spine, with a clear vinyl jacket protector for each of the 6 volumes, lg 8vo (10 x 7 inches). Volume 1 of this journal was first issued in 1951. Each of the early volumes contained 12 numbers (no. 1-12) sold monthly by subscription. Volumes 9-14 contain only 6 numbers per volume. The final number (vol. 14, no. 6), issued in December 1964, is the 50th anniversary issue. As the editor, August Roth, was 84 years of age when the 50th anniversary issue was published, it appears the second series of this journal ends with that issue. The final number states this is the "Oldest aquarist's magazine in the English language." It is also states that this is the "Oldest aquarist's magazine in America, Est. 1915." This second series is quite rare. There are no records of this journal in any American or European library. No ownership marks and few signs of use. This is a large and heavy set - extra postage will be required especially if sent to Canada or Europe.
