An ex-library copy bound in brown cloth centrally stamped in gilt depicting a turkey, letter gilt, library stamps to endpapers and title page, Glue remnants from pocket(?) to rear endpaper, spine number blocked ou, rubbing to spine ends and edges.. A good only copy.

Spine lettered in gilt. Marbled paper on boards. Previous owners armorial bookplate on front paste down endpaper. Some chipping to the spine ends otherwise a very good copy.

Printed at the Spamerschen Buchdruckerei in Leipzig and designed by Carl Otto Czeschka including decorated end-papers in colour, double title page and 3 full page illustrations. Overall size c.7.1/2 x 5.inches. c.19 x 12.5 cm. pps 218. Text in German. Spine darkened and boards slightly soiled and rubbed, bookplate on verso of title page but a very good copy internally near fine. Typical decorations by one of the Wiener Werkstatte / Wiener Secession leading artists.
