The Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) was established in 1979 as an independent international arbitral organization with jurisdiction over the Arab countries of West Asia and Africa. The CRCICA Rules, modelled initially on the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, were revised in 1998 to take account of changing provisions and practices in international arbitration.
