Fine original first issue of the New Individualist Review magazine published in April 1961 to advance free, private enterprise, limited government, and human liberty. The New Individualist Review was the brainchild of several prominent political and economic scholars associated with the University of Chicago as well as the Intercollegiate Society of Individualists (ISI), founded in 1953 by journalist Frank Chodorov to promote conservatism and individualism on college campuses, and the Mont Pelerin Society, founded in 1947 by F. A. Hayek to promote classical liberalism following the publication of his The Road to Serfdom in 1944. Kirk Alyn was the first actor to portray Superman in the 1948, fifteen episode serial "Superman", and then again in the 1950 sequel "Atom man vs. Superman". This 8 inch by 10 inch black & white photo is matted iand framed and is signed, "Atom Man vs Superman Clark Kent Superman Kirk Alyn".

Number 13 of 400 numbered copies of the rare first issue of this important avant-garde UK review, printed at Strange Faeces Press. Title written to back cover and spine and hand-drawn curtains and price to title page, plus box to one text page and hole punches to back cover (presumably all added by the publisher). Aside from some light foxing to the cover and lap edge of first page, a sound copy of this monument of 1970s experimentalism.

Rare mid-seventies issue of the classic San Francisco underground Beat magazine, includes a great range of luminaries (including one poem by Dale Pendell). A curious 1976 leaflet entitled The Grant Getter's Gazette by Michael Weiner is laid in. Unmarked copy with a bit of reading wear (front cover has some printing offset, as observed with other copies).

The missing portion of this copy comprises James Alexander's The Jack Rabbit Poem; remainder of issue, with work by Spicer, Richard Brautigan, Kay Johnson, Robin Blaser, Robert Duncan, et al., is present. Has been restapled. Missing content supplied in photocopy. A rare opportunity to obtain a totemic piece of countercultural history.
