Gilt-decorated embossed cloth covers unevenly faded, with moderate wear, including bumped corners, a couple of instances of bubbling of cloth, minor fraying at edges. Endpapers heavily spotted, probably due to glue staining. Hinges sound, uncracked; pages tight, clean, unmarked, but with light foxing. 226 numbered pages. Frontis map of Armenia, with several woodcuts. A quite nice copy despite its stated defects. ; .
