Text illustrated by black and white photography. Aqua coloured boards with white writing on the spine. Darkening of the edges of the text block, and gift inscription on half title page. Photographic dustwrapper, with small photos showing various aspects of Australia. Black background with white writing on to front panel and on the spine. The only damage to the dustjacket is to the top edge, with rubbing at the head of the spine and that the fold over tips. Over many years, and many books, Bill Beatty wrote on Australia and Australians. This book is a culmination of this fact; "I have simply recorded my impressions of places visited, dipping into local legend and history to discover thier background.", from the author.
