For almost 27 years Ed Vanderkloet has been a representative of the Christian Labour Association of Canada, an independent labour union that operates mainly in central and western Canada. From 1966 to 1977 Vanderkloet served as a field representative of the union, organizing and representing workers, and negotiating collective agreements. In 1972 he took on the additional duties of the organization's Executive Director and editor of its monthly publication The Guide. In 1989 he laid down his executive function in order to concentrate on writing and research. He is the author of numerous articles in The Guide and other magazines. d1.
