Rowman and Littlefield, Totowa, first edition thus, 1971. Cloth, small 8vo,. xii, 216 pp. Approximately 1,000 entries. A separate volume containing bibliographical entries relating to bibliographies on various discrete subjects : most significantly on Art, Architecture and Archaeology, but also covering a number of more or less related subjects including Towns and Town Planning, Ceramics, Painting, Posters, Cinematography and others. The entries are extracted from the 5 volumes of Besterman's monumental "A world bibliography of bibliographies and of bibliographical catalogues, calendars, abstracts, digests, indexes, and the like" (4th and best edition). The coverage is geographically very wide-ranging, and includes both separately published books and monographs and serial publications (though not bibliographies appearing in periodicals). Classified arrangement (an author index would have been valuable). Besterman's indication of the approximate number of entries contained in each work is particularly useful.
