Sobre este artículo

Secaucus, New Jersey: The Wellfleet Press, 1989. Brand New in a Brand New dust jacket. Perfect condition. NO chips. NO tears. NO creases. NO rubbing. NO fading. Bright, shiny, clean, square and tight. Sharp corners. NOT a library discard. NO owner's name or bookplate. NO remainder mark. Fresh and crisp - obviously never read. This is an appealing and informative overview of the history of botanical art. It is beautifully illustrated with 141 color plates and includes chapters on Linnaeus, Dionysius Ehret, Redoute Josephine, Malmaison, Kew Gardens, etc. Reproduced here in vivid full color are many fabulous botanical masterpieces, many full page or double page. In spite of the years "1550 to 1900" in this book's title, there is also a chapter on incunabula and botanical iconography, and one on 20th century artists. Bibliography. Index. Bound in the original gilt-stamped green boards. Complete with pristine dust jacket. Oversize Hardcover. 9.5" wide by 13" tall. This large, heavy book will require extra postage for Priority and International shipments, but only the standard charge for media mail.. 1st ed? (No additional printings listed). Oversize Hardcover. Sobre About Books

About Books (Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and OP books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of over 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialties listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you wish to visit us to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please, only between the hours of 8am and 10pm (west coast time).
