Sobre este artículo

Brooklyn, NY Dance Horizons, 1970. Paperback Reprint Edition. Very Good in Wraps: shows indications of careful use: slight spine lean; light wear to extremities; rubbing and faint soiling to wrapper covers; binding secure; text clean. No longer 'As New', but remains clean, sturdy, and quite presentable. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. Reprint of two of Kellom Tomlinson's early Eighteenth-Century works on Dance: "The Art of Dancing, Explained by Reading and Figures; Whereby the Manner of Performing the Steps is Made Easy by a New and Familiar Method; Being the Original Work, First Designed in the Year 1724 and now [1735] published by Kellom Tomlinson, Dancing Master". Edition. Academic Press Paperback. Kellom Tomlinson was a notable exponent of the Beauchamp–Feuillet notation system of dance notation used in Baroque dance. This notation was commissioned by Louis XIV (who had founded the Académie Royale de Danse in 1661), and devised in the 1680s by Pierre Beauchamp. It was published in 1700 by Raoul-Auger Feuillet, who began a programme of publishing notated dances. It was used to record dances for the stage and domestic use throughout the eighteenth century, being modified by Pierre Rameau in 1725, and surviving into at least the 1780s in various modified forms.
