Octavo (24cm.); original cloth in grey photo-illustrated dust jacket; viii,[2],325pp. Jacket a bit toned along extremities, long closed tear at bottom spine edge of upper panel slightly touching image without loss, light foxing to top textblock edge, else Near Very Good and sound. Inscribed and signed by Rampersad to front free endpaper: "For Zeph [?] and Diana with affection and gratitude.. Arnold / December, 1976." Two autograph letters, signed "Arnold" and addressed to the same Zeph and Diana, laid in, dated 1977 and 1978.
