Sobre este artículo

Artemis Fowl (the first book of the series) by Eoin Colfer (author of other Artemis Fowl books: Arctic Incident, The Eternity Code, The Opal Deception) Hardcover First Edition - First Printing Viking UK 2001 SIGNED - flat-signed by Eoin Colfer on titlepage. Fine- in Fine- dustjacket with colored holographic design which shines with the light. Book is solid with a hint of tanning to the page ends (which is typical) and a bit of shelf wear. The dustjacket has a slight scratch to the top else fine. A good solid copy of apprently a relatively hard to come by first printing, especially signed. Dealers are already asking $500+ for this in a signed state.

Sinopsis

Twelve-year-old villain, Artemis Fowl, is the most ingenious criminal mastermind in history. His bold and daring plan is to hold a leprechaun to ransom. But he's taking on more than he bargained for when he kidnaps Captain Holly Short of the LEPrecon (Lower Elements Police Reconnaissance Unit). For a start, leprechaun technology is more advanced than our own. Add to that the fact that Holly is a true heroine and that her senior officer Commander Root will stop at nothing to get her back and you've got the mother of all sieges brewing!

I love the Artemis Fowl series! It is very refreshing and unique. It is definitely going down as #1 on my list of favorite classics. I especially love the great realism in the stories. Totally an awesome must-read!!!

Enjoyable even as an adult. This is a modern fantasy book about a genius pre-teen boy and his exploits to break the written language of the Fairies. Although his intentions are somewhat evil by admission, his actions clearly indicate that he has a good side yearning to come out.
