New York: Charles Scribner, 1893. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. Early decorated American trade binding. Tan clothboards with black, white, green and tan scene on cover of father with two children seated in a garden. Black lettering on cover and spine. Quite clean - one tiny white spot to lower front board. No fraying or wear-through. Binding is tight and square, front hinge is sound, rear hinge has small area of cracking. Clean endpapers - no names, writing or marks. Twelve full-page illustrations by mary A. Hollock, including frontispiece. Pages are clean with slight tanning; pp. 9-10 has tea-stain size of 50-cent piece. 401 pages..
