This book gives an intimate insight into the lives and works of 39 renowned 20th century artists, all association with the School of Paris, including Kupka, Larionov, Picasso, Kandinsky, Villon and Leger. The photographs represent an enlargement of the exhibition which opened at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, which then toured America, Great Britain and Europe. The author, Alexander Liberman (September 4, 1912 - November 19, 1999) was a Ukrainian-American magazine editor, publisher, painter, photographer, and sculptor. He held senior artistic positions during his 32 years at Condé Nast Publications..
