John La Farge [1835-1910] was an American artist who was best known for his stained glass creations for churches on the East Coast, and a contemporary and rival of Lois Comfort Tiffany. In addition to his murals, design, painting, he wrote books describing his Asian travels.
8vo, 293pp, teg, many b&w illustrations, blue cloth boards with gilt title on spine and gilt Japanese characters on front. Covers marked, front has tidemark at upper right, internally clean and bright.
