(1st) Large, heavy thicker book, purple cloth spine, cream boards with very bright gilt illustration of ruler's portrait, very bright gilt lettering and borders on spine, map of the empire inside covers and adjacent end papers, 552 pages. DJ beneath mylar, background is shades of sandy brown with illusration of ruler's mosaic head at top front, red spine and back, back with praise from Douglas Terman, Robert Shea and F. Paul Wilson. DJ has very light short creases at top and bottom left front, light brown spot at pages' bottom edge. Near Very Fine DJ/Near Very Fine book.
