Springfield: Charles C Thomas, Publisher, 1971. Hardcover. Small 4to. Grey cloth with gilt lettering, pictorial dust jacket. xxi, 484pp. Numerous tables. Near fine/very good. Faintest jacket wear at head of spine; ownership signature on front flyleaf, where also pens small inoffensive medical note and another on rear flyleaf. Tight and quite nice first edition of this thick manual which boasts on front jacket panel it "is not a conventional textbook. It is instead, a series of essays on asthma designed primarily for graduate and undergraduate medical students and family physicians...." Uncommonly nice copy -- and not, as are many, ex-library.
