London: Printed for W. Innis and R. Manby, 1738. Hardcover. Good. Seventh edition. 8vo, old paneled calf, good with some rubbing and wear to binding, no spine label, contents fine and bright. With bookplate on verso of title page of Sir John Anstruther, 1st Baronet (1678-1753), a Scottish politician who sat in the British House of Commons from 1708-1741. In 1727 Anstruther was appointed "Sole Master of Works, Inspector and Director-General of all royal buildings in Scotland" by King George II, with responsibility for repairs and alterations to royal palaces and castles north of the border. lvii, 246 pp, followed by 3 folding plates (after John Senex) and unnumbered index.
