Sobre este artículo
Manchester: Printed by Henry Smith, 1828. 8vo, pp. 14, [2, blank]. Disbound, edges untrimmed. A few spots. A very rare pamphlet defending the legitimacy of astrology, admitting that ‘it may seem strange that any one in the 19th century should attempt to revive a belief in the long exploded science of astrology; scorn and neglect are nearly sure to be the portion of such an effort’, but promising ‘to give it a fair, candid, and unbiassed examination.’ The argument deduces from Newton’s principles that the planets affect our brains, and therefore our minds. The pamphlet concludes with a quotation from Childe Harold. Worldcat cites only one copy at the NYPL, Library Hub adds no further examples.
