X- Library copy with a card pocket on the rear endpaper, a s mall library bookplate on the front endpaper and a small blind stamp o n the bottom right blank margin of the last page of text. Light foxing & toning to the contents.Has a couple of interior tears that have bee n repaired with archive tape. Contents are tightly bound. This volume contains the contributions by Stowe, Whitter, W.D. Howells, James Russ ell Lowe, John Burroughs, O.W. Holmes etc. It also contains the first parts of a 4 part serialization of Edward Hales' Early SF novel "The B rick Moon"(Under different titles), one of the first American novels a bout the conquest of space. .
