A very good copy.In the late 1760s Shippie Townsend, a blockmaker, left the Old South Meeting-House Congregation in Boston as he has become a Sandemanian, or one who believed that it was their duty to "give unto Caesar what is Caesar's'; i.e. he supported the colonial government of England during the Revolutionary War. Many of his fellow Sandemanians sailed away with the British navy in 1776 and resettled in Canada. "But Townsend stayed behind.
