Illustrated with monochrome plates depicting family members, handwritten letters, and property and land. Folding genealogical pedigrees. In the original publishers' cornflower blue cloth with gilt armourial centrepiece. Cloth slightly rubbed at spine-tips and corners with foxing throughout. With an early twentieth century pictorial bookplate of Herbert S. Squance. Overall, a tight, square copy free of inscriptions or annotations. All plates and family pedigrees present. A generously illustrated and fastidious study of the history of the Northern branch of the Attwood Family by prolific Sunderland antiquary John Robinson.
