Sobre este artículo

Austin, Texas: The Pemberton Press, 1976. Appears unread. Fine condition in a Fine dust jacket (price clipped). NO chips. NO tears. NO creases. NO fading. Bright, clean, square and tight. Sharp corners. NOT a library discard. NO owner's name or bookplate. NO remainder mark. Pages are fresh and crisp -- apparently never read. This is a book that should not be missed by anyone who enjoys booksellers' memoirs. While still a young man the author became one of America's premier antiquarian booksellers but died early under mysterious circumstances. But then much of his life was out of the ordinary. Jenkins authored his first book before leaving high school and in college it was assigned to him as a text. In 1963, he started one of the world's largest rare book firms. One of his purchases, described here, was the $10 million Eberstadt Western Americana collection. Another chapter tells how he helped recover the Union College Audubon portfolio and apprehend the thieves. He served as president of the ABAA. Bound in the dark yellow boards, stamped in black. Complete with dust jacket. 8.75" wide by 11.25" tall.. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine condition/Fine jacket (price clipped). 120pp. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping.

Sobre About Books

About Books (Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and OP books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of over 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialties listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you wish to visit us to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please, only between the hours of 8am and 10pm (west coast time).
