No date on title page, copyright page states 1890. Name on front fly leaf, otherwise clean. Alden was the best-selling Christian author of her time. Born in 1841, her first book, Helen Lester, was published in 1865. With that success, Isabella became a tireless writer of books and short stories that explained God's plan for salvation and reinforced Christian values.
