Aunt Jo?s Scrapbag includes short stories such as My Boys, who were neglected and whose lives were not that good; Buzz, a story of a fly befriending a sad child; The Children?s Joke, a story where children making jokes out of their serious family; Dandelion, a story about a fisherman?s son named Dandelion and they live so happily; Tilly?s Christmas, children anticipating for Christmas so they could finally receive some gifts; Our Little Newsboy, a little boy was frozen one stormy night and a family took care of him; and other kiddy stories they will surely enjoy with their family.

Aunt Jo?s Scrapbag is a collection of short stories which consists of six series short stories. The short story was written by an acclaimed American novelist and poet, Louisa May Alcott (1832 ? 1888). She was born in Germantown, Pennsylvania, U.S. She started writing when her family were financially incapable of supplying their needs. She worked in her younger years as a teacher, seamstress, babysitter, house helper, and writer to support her family.

She was among the most popular impertinent people of her time including Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Henry David Thoreau. In her early years of writing, she used the pseudonym A. M. Barnard, which she penned young adult books. She was profoundly well-known for her novel Little Women and its sequence Little Men and Jo?s Boys. Little Women was based on the author?s childhood life with her three sisters. At this moment, the children?s book is still evident and made into movies for a definite number of times.

Louisa May Alcott was part of the Abolitionism in the United States, a movement in the American Civil War to end slavery in the country and associated with feminism, a range of political and social movement with the main objective to attain and carry out political, economic, personal, and social rights for women.
