October 1873-September 1874, volume for a whole year with no title page for the May Day Volume which starts on page 387, half leather, marbled boards, gilt lettering and gilt bands to spine, 760 pages. 52 black and white illustrations, some full page. Contains A Great Emergency by J.H. Ewing and her In Memoriam for her mother Margaret Gatty who was the first editor of Aunt Judy's Magazine from 1866. 15 mm (¾") split at top of lower hinge, slight wear to head and tail of spine, corners and spine edges, some small scrapes to leather surface, inner hinges cracked, binding tight, name on front endpaper, occasional very pale staining.
