Sobre este artículo
Cambridge: The Hakluyt Society, 1966. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. The Journal of Fray Martin de Munilla O.F.M. and other documents relating to The Voyage of Pedro Fernandez de Quiros to the South Sea (1605-1606) and the Franciscan Missionary Plan (1617-1627). Translated and edited by Celsus Kelly O.F.M. With ethnological introduction, appendix, and other contributions by G.S. Parsonson. Two volumes. 12 plates, including the folding frontispiece, with four maps, including one folding, and three tables, including two folding. Cambridge: Published for The Hakluyt Society at the University Press, 1966. First edition. Pedro Fernandez de Quiros was a remarkable navigator and explorer. Having sailed in 1595 as chief pilot in the ill-fated Spanish expedition to the Solomon Islands, he returned to the "Austral Lands" - the area of the New Hebrides - in 1605 with another expedition, which is the subject of this volume. The Hakluyt Society, Second Series, Volumes 126 and 127. Original blue cloth bindings, with gilt stamping. Negligible crease to one of the folding tables. The dust jackets are a bit sun faded along the spines; otherwise a near fine set.
