Boston and New York: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1920. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. Hardback. A very good copy in dark greyish blue cloth lettered in gilt on the spine and upper board. In a good dustwrapper which has a number of mostly smallish tears and chips and two internal sellotape repairs. The wrapper, which is not price-clipped, is now protected in a clear, removable sleeve. A clean copy internally, not foxed and with no ownership inscription. Pp.xii,385. Tissue-guarded frontispiece and 30 illustrations. The autobiography of a poor Scottish boy who emigrated to the USA and made, then gave away, one of the greatest fortunes of his age. Uncommon in dustwrapper. Photographs available on request.
