London: George Allen & Unwin Ltd, 1969. Hardcover. 232p., illustrated with 10 b&w photos, first British edition in openweave red cloth boards gilt and the glossy photoportrait dust jacket. Book itself is near-mint: completely sound, clean and unmarked, with only a small defect in rear endsheet paper to bear with. The dust jacket is quite good except for mild edgewear and handling. All in all, a very good copy. Laid in is a partial text of an article announced (by subtitle) to be "the full text of the document which Bertrand Russell dictated and approved two months before his death. It clarifies the history of his relationship with Ralph Schoenman" (find two leaves excised from the New Statesman for 11 September 1970), one leaf w/text (fullpage but carelessly abbreviated) and a second with readers' responses.
