Sobre este artículo

San Francisco: Straight Arrow Books [1972], 1972. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo. [6], 11-199, [1] pp. Bound in brown cloth with gold lettering on the front board and the spine, gold endpapers and pastedowns. Price of $7.00 on the front flap of the jacket. Illustrated with a few drawings of American bison. Acosta was a well-known Chicano activist and lawyer, perhaps best known for his fictionalized portrayal as Hunter S. Thompson's lawyer in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. This is his first book, a semi-autobiographical story in which the protagonist becomes committed to Chicano activism. A presentable copy of this sought-after book, uncommon in the first edition. Near Fine book with a tiny mark to the top textblock in a Very Good dust jacket with significant rubbing.

Sinopsis

Autobiography of a Brown Buffalo is the first novel by Oscar Zeta Acosta and it focuses on his own self-discovery in a fictionalized manner. An autobiography, the plot presents an alienated lawyer of Mexican descent, who works in an Oakland, California antipoverty agency, without any sense of purpose or identity.
