Red and gold marbled paper over cardboard boards with leather corners and spine overlap. Some open edge wear especially at corners. Front board is a bit loose because original front hine taping is unglued a bit. Rear board is partly separataed because leather is worn through. Endpapers match covers. Uneven cut and some uncut pages. Frontispiece is handcolored? Illustration of von Goethe. Rest of illustrations are sepia toned. Tissue overlay has red lettering. Title page is red and black lettered. Text itself is clean and tight. Hard to find Amaranth Society copy. ; Edition De Luxe; Vol. 1; 8vo; 320 pages .
