Very good. - Five lines in German elegantly penned in black ink on a sheet of his personalized letterhead, 10 inches high by 7-3/4 inches wide, with his name & crest printed in blind at top left. Boldly signed "Schlik". The letter is addressed in Schlik's hand on the verso with a perfect example of his seal in black. Folded 4 times for mailing. Fine. <p>Franz Joseph von Schlik of Bassano and Weisskirchen [1789-1862] was an Earl and a general in the Austrian Empire's army.
