Sobre este artículo

small quarto, one page, formerly folded, in very clean, legible condition, fine. Jean Baptiste Charles Henri Hector, comte d’Estaing, French general and admiral who fought in the American War for Independence. He began his service as a soldier in the Seven Years War, spending time as a prisoner of war of the British. Following the entry of France into the Revolutionary War in 1778, he led a fleet to aid the American rebels, and participated in failed Franco-American attacks on Rhode Island and the Siege of Savannah. He returned to France in 1780. D’Estaing was subsequently executed in the Reign of Terror during the French Revolution. …”
