1836. unbound. very good. A.L.S. "David" (flourish style) 8vo. 1 page, N.P., 1836, in French, translated: "I deeply regret that some extremely serious matters deprive me of the honor of receiving you. I would have liked to thank you in person for the verses you wrote and which your kindness has enabled me to read. Receive then my best thanks and good wishes for an enjoyable trip." Very minor spotting and surface creases but still in very good condition. Also: an original woodcut engraving of D'Angers, 3.5" x 5", c. 1880's, a chest-up image of the artist attired in a military-style jacket with large collar, with facsimile signature at bottom.<br/> <br/> French sculptor and medalist.<br/> <br/>
