This book is a pictorial and descriptive history of landmark hom es and other structures in Danville. Illustrated with 34 full-page drawings . 11th book in a series on homes and other structures of historical signifi cance in various Illinois towns. Each page of the book is hand silk screen printed. #29 of a limited edition of 200 copies. Also comes with a copy of a newpaper article originally published on December 9, 1984 that tells abou t David Alan Badger and his work as an artist and provides information abou t his ongoing project of documenting historical landmarks mainly around Ill inois. Badger was planning to produce more than 180 limited edition books d ocumenting the architecture and history of communities in every county in I llinois. Each book contains 35 to 40 of Badger's drawings of homes, busines s and public buildings in the community. Buildings he documents have been c hosen for their aesthetic appeal and for their historic significance. Each book also contains a brief narrative about the buildings. Also included wit hin the books are poetry by Badger. According to the article, ""Badger hoped his books would serve as a reference & resource for future scholars, as so me of the buildings have already been destroyed."" GIFT GIVING CONDITION.
