Light wear on the corners of the dustjacket; price intact; no interior markings. The village was isolated from the rest of the world by a ridge of craggy and forbidding hills. For centuries the villagers had lived by their own strict laws. But when the old priest died, a young and inexperienced priest was sent to replace him. At the same time, the daughter of a wealthy landowner moved into the village. As newcomers, both of them were isolated from the villagers and they found solace in each other's company. But what began as a gentle friendship, eventually became something much more, something forbidden....
