Paste-down photo on front cover showing said Cheechako, wearing bears feet boots whilst holding his gun and with his loyal dog at his side. In good condition. Corners slightly bumped, small chip head of spine. Split on front cover hinge. Inside pages rough cut. Generally clean & tight. 146pp. Ten b/w plates with captioned tissue guards are all present. A famous book by this master bard of the North. The Canadian poet's experiences in the Far North and Yukon are expressed in this collection of ballads as well as his knowledge of the Klondike gold rush ("The Trail of Ninety-Eight."). His ballads include the tales of “One-eyed Mike”, "Pious Pete," "Blasphemous Bill," “Gum-Boot Ben,” “Hard-Luck Henry” and "Clancy of the Mounted Police".
