8vo; [1] 2-300pp; half-bound in brown leather with brown speckled paper over board, five raised band and gilt stamped spine; brown and yellow marbled endpapers; gilt top; 2 maps present; scuffing and peeling of cover leather; very good. Warburton Pike was a British explorer and game hunter who explored the Artic. This book follows his quest to find the Musk-ox, "a strange animal, a relic from an earlier age", and also the Indians who hunted them. He was assisted by the Hudson Bay Company.
