St. Joseph, Missouri, 1912. Unbound. Very Good. Single leaf folded to make four pages. Upper corner of first page torn away, affecting three letters only on p.[2], repaired with later paper and tissue on verso, else about very good. Under the supervision of a former slave, William Henry Jones, Bartlett - called Colored High School until 1904 - became the best African-American high school in Missouri, with many graduates progressing to college and successful professional careers. A scarce and ephemeral piece. *OCLC* locates no copies.
