Sobre este artículo

New York:: W. W. Norton & Company, 2000. 7" wide by 9.25" tall. Bright, shiny, clean, square, and tight. Flat spine. No creases. No owner's name or bookplate. Pages are fresh and crisp, apparently never read. No underlining. No highlighting. No margin notes. Illustrated with photos. Each team is examined microscopically, with tangible and intangible factors taken into account, e.g. sustained brilliance over time, Hall of Famers on the roster, offensive and defensive stats, postseason performance, etc. "First Edition" is so stated, with complete number row (1234567890) on copyright page. From the rear cover: "It's a debate as old as the sport itself: Which is the greatest team, ever? Rising to the challenge... Rob Neyer and Eddie Epstein examine the top fifteen squads of the twentieth century, employing a rigorous statistical analysis and throwing in some good old-fashioned opinion to determine the best team of the modern era. Is it the 1927 Yankees, blessed with both Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig? Sparky Anderson's awesome 1975 Cincinnati Reds? Or the beloved 'Boys of Summer,' the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers? Full of anecdotes, intriguing facts, and statistics, BASEBALL DYNASTIES is certain to provoke, entertain, and edify fans of all ages.". First Printing of the First Edition.. Trade Paperback. Fine condition.. 384pp..

Sobre About Books

About Books (Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and OP books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail-order catalogues, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of over 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialties listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you wish to visit us to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please, only between the hours of 8am and 10pm (west coast time).
