Sobre este artículo

MP3 Audio CD. The story was set in a town in England where a historic battle formerly took place. A few of the fictional characters were believed to be a representation for the battle, the title itself characterizes them.

There were two sisters named Grace and Marion, living gladly with their two household helpers, Clemency Newcome and Ben Britain, and their kind father Dr. Jeddler (his wife, the mother of the two daughters, already passed away). Dr. Jeddler is described to be living a life blissfully. Marion, the second and the youngest sister, is engaged with Alfred Heathfield, her father?s protégé, who leaves the town to finish college. He told Grace to take care of Marion and promises to return and marry Marion.

A debauched man, Michael Warden, who will soon leave the country, is assumed by Snitchey and Craggs, both barristers, who is attracted with Marion and is about to run away with her. One evening, Clemency saw Michael and Marion surreptitiously meet. When Alfred returns, he learned that Marion eloped with another man and got so frustrated. Both Marion?s father and her sister were so dismayed upon her running off.

Six years later, both servants got married. Alfred half-heartedly marries Grace and they both have a daughter who was also named as Marion. On Marion?s birthday, Grace confesses to Alfred that Marion wants to meet him personally to talk about her so-called elopement. Marion then meets Alfred and told him that she has not ran off but stayed at her aunt Martha?s house so that he can marry Grace. Her family were all so happy when she finally returns. Dr. Jeddler forgives Michael and soon marries Marion.

Charles John Huffam Dickens was a British novelist and social critic. He wrote many of the world's well known fictional characters and is considered as the greatest novelist of the Victorian era.

Sinopsis

Once upon a time, it matters little when, and in stalwart England, it matters little where, a fierce battle was fought. It was fought upon a long summer day when the waving grass was green. Many a wild flower formed by the Almighty Hand to be a perfumed goblet for the dew, felt its enamelled cup filled high with blood that day, and shrinking dropped. Many an insect deriving its delicate colour from harmless leaves and herbs, was stained anew that day by dying men, and marked its frightened way with an unnatural track.
