Montana and the West Series, Volume XV. Volume has beautiful gray cloth covers with gold lettering on the spine. Dust jacket is protected in an archival quality Brodart cover. Book is 8 1/2" x 11". The perspective of this study is that of the white soldiers and civilians of Colorado Territory in the 1860's. It is not the Indian side of the story. It does not attempt to apologize for the Indians' actions. It does not attempt to condone the military actions, but it does find some justification for them. A very nice copy.
