Very Good. 8vo, 338pp. Sharp First Edition, beautifully bound in decorative maroon cloth with repeating floral pattern stamped in green and gold on the front board and spine. Title stamped in gilt on the spine. t.e.g. Decorated endpapers. Frontis of Lincoln and 80 full page and in-text illustrations. Square, tight and clean throughout. Some fairly mild foxing to prelims and a few page edges. Light rubbing to spine ends and tips. Some discoloration on the rear board. Ownership stamps on the paste-downs, title page and bottom edge. Ownership stickers on the front paste-down. Flaws aside, still a very handsome collectable copy at a great price.
