This faux leather portfolio fashioned to look like a book includes an eight-page pamphlet entitled: "The Book Detektive's Little Black Book: A Record of the Book-Borrowing Habits of Your Friends and a Most Important Admonition" by Christopher Morley being the hitherto unpublished transcript of the criminal trial Pandowdy v Librovore Morley's admonition is on p 4-8 of the pamphlet Also includes cards to track loans (with spaces for marking titles, name of borrower, "if return promised and date returned"), a second series of cards, with each listing "suggestions for luring your books back diplomatically," and book slips on which are printed: "On the Return of a Book Lent to a Friend," from "The Haunted Bookshop", by Christopher Morley There are also a cardboard ruler, and a bright, sharpened "Book Detektive pencil"
