Inscribed by the author Uncorrected proof copy, inscribed by the author on the front wrapper: "For Allen Milkerit good tidings Harold Norse SF 26.II.83"; a very early inscription, to San Francisco bookseller Milkerit, co-proprietor of Tall Stories and Valhall books. Beat Hotel was first published in German in 1975, translated by Carl Weissner, with collages by Norman Mustill. Octavo. Original spiral-bound white wrappers, titles to front black, ISBNs and Probable Publication Date completed in manuscript black ink, photographic illustration (used as frontispiece in first edition) to rear. Loosely inserted is the publisher's promotional sheet, yellow stock. A little toned with a few trivial marks to wrappers, else a near-fine copy, fresh and sharp.
