London: Ward Lock and Tyler A collection of boys adventure stories, poetry and factual articles on games and pastimes. Stories include Finger of Fate by Capt. Mayne Reid and one of the beggars by John Tillotson. 656 pages with a colour frontispiece and many other full page illustrations from engravings and woodcuts. Pages are bright and clean, neat former owners name in ink on front endpaper, dated 1870, this is the only date in book.Endpapers are split at inner hinges but binding is sound looks as if it may have been neatly gliued at front. Outer boards are rubbed and worn on edges, some small marks and spine faded, all edges of pages are goldwhich is a little marked. Though not perfect a pleasing copy of an interesting book SEE IMAGE.
