Sobre este artículo

New York: William Morrow & Co, 1993. Small crease to rear flap (manufacturer's defect). Unread. Expanded version of the novella that won the 1991 Nebula and 1992 Hugo awards. A tour-de-force speculative novel that raises some intriguing scientific and sociological issues where the genetically enhanced 'sleepless' have greater intelligence and don't require sleep find themselves more and more isolated in a 'sleeper' world.. Uncorrected Proof. Pictorial Wrappers. Fine.

Sinopsis

Beggars in Spain is a 1993 science fiction novel by Nancy Kress. It was originally published as a novella in Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine and as a limited edition paperback by Axolotl Press in 1991. Kress expanded it, adding three new volumes and eventually two sequels, Beggars and Choosers and Beggars Ride. It is held to be an important work, and is often hailed for its predictions of emerging technologies and society. The original novella won the Hugo Award and Nebula Award.
