The binding is rubbed, and the gilt on the spine is fading. Endpapers foxed and have notations. Historical Museum ink stamp on the front flyleaf, but there are no other library markings. Inscribed on the front pastedown and the title page by Mary W. Hodges of Henderson, North Carolina (dated 1938). The text itself is a little toned and has some notations and underlining.
